My mission:
To give motivated and aspiring piano players the skills, tools, and confidence they need to reach their personal musical goals.
Whether a student desires to simply learn the basics, or plans to major in music, we’ll work together to get there. There is not a one-size-fits all approach to piano teaching. I enjoy tailoring my lessons to what each student needs. It’s important to me that students look forward to lessons and enjoy playing on their own.

It's important for my students to be well-rounded in the areas of: memorization, theory, accompanying, and practice techniques. In addition, we will focus on:
Sight-reading
This is a valuable musical skill. It’s the building block for playing beautiful music because the faster you can pick up a piece of music, the more time you can spend on perfecting the dynamics, tempo, and the musicality of the piece.
Precision and accuracy
These are equally as important building blocks. Providing a solid foundation in precision and accuracy will make reading advanced music a breeze!
Diversity in genres: folk, sacred, classical, jazz, pop, etc.
There's a lot to be learned from all eras and places. We'll explore them all!
